Mechanical Fitter Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to work in Canada. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and rectifying problems on mechanical equipment, overseeing personnel, and ensuring superior levels of safety and cleanliness.
Main Responsibilities:
* Identify and resolve issues with mechanical equipment, including sewage pumps and valves, air blowers, and associated pipe work.
* Remove and replace faulty valves and actuators with new or refurbished ones.
* Lead safe working practices to achieve zero lost time injuries in the workshop.
* Supervise personnel while working hands-on to execute assigned tasks to required standards.
* Assist in controlling consumable and tooling usage to minimize waste.
* Review daily timesheets from shop floor personnel.
* Evaluate and ensure adherence to Corporate Engineering Standards.
