Early Childhood Educator
To be successful as an Early Childhood Educator at our centre, you will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality education and care for young children. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement programs that cater to the diverse needs of children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the overall operation of the early childhood service to ensure a suitable, viable service is provided to suit the needs of the community.
* Work according to the Code of Ethics of the Early Childhood Australia and relevant legislation.
* Comply with policies and procedures of the centre.
* Inform the Director of all allegations or convictions of a child protection nature against an employee, of which you become aware.
* Ensure compliance with Child Protection legislation and policies.
* Advocate for children and families.
* Be aware of government regulations, guidelines pertaining to children's services and be competent and prepared to assist the Nominated Supervisor and become a Certified Supervisor.
* Be aware of Child Care Benefits, Subsidies and Government Funding.
* Assist with administrative duties as directed.
* Maintain the ability to use information technology.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Diploma in Children's Services/Child Protection.
* Current NSW Working with Children Check Number.
* Current approved First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate.
* Ability to implement individual and group programs reflecting early childhood developmental knowledge.
* Discuss how to cater for individual needs.
* Participate in shared leadership through daily routines.
* High level of communication and interpersonal skills, including time management and confidentiality.
