Procurement Contract Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced procurement contract manager to join our team. The role is responsible for managing the lifecycle of contracts, from procurement planning to contract formation and ongoing management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of government procurement frameworks, legislative requirements, and commercial methods. They will also possess excellent communication and customer engagement skills, with the ability to negotiate and build relationships with stakeholders.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Procurement planning, tendering, and contract formation for SATCOM projects
* Contract management activities, ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes, and procedures
* Providing expert advice on best practice, identifying and developing mitigation strategies for risks associated with procurement and contracting activities, analyzing contract performance
* Building and sustaining relationships with key stakeholders at the strategic and operational level

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team that acquires and sustains SATCOM systems. The team comprises professionals from various disciplines, including project management, engineering, commercial, and logistics. We work closely with other parts of Defence and Government Agencies to deliver capability to the ADF.

What We Offer
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known as the Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability.
