About the Role
We are looking for a sharp and detail focused Data Technician Support Specialist to join our Data Services Team, and provide key support in maintaining our Automated Meter Reading (AMR) Networks. Primarily covering hot and cold water Embedded Networks on multi res sites, the position will involve providing high quality client support via our Jira ticketing system to ensure sites are reading at 100% with as little downtime as possible.
You will be working with a suite of internal systems and tools to stay on top of the day to day service delivery to clients. Including our own in house custom built metering data software platform, Juice.
Along with this, you will be overseeing data collection processes, performing routine maintenance tasks on AMR network equipment – dataloggers, repeaters and gatways and providing support to field technicians on maintenance of AMR network equipment for issues requiring site visits.
About You
The ideal candidate will be someone who is looking to take their first step in the energy industry, or with 1 – 2 years experience in the energy, data, software or telecommunications industries.
The role requires strong attention to detail and management of complex information in a fast-paced environment, where multitasking abilities are a must. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, will be in daily use in managing client and internal relationships.
Previous exposure to, or interest in - Cellular & Wi-Fi Networking and Routing, Low Powered Wide Area Networks (LPWAN), Long Range Wide Area Network (LoRAWAN), Radio Frequency equipment - Antennas, Heat Mapping, etc and Internet of Things (IoT) will be highly regarded.
Computer literacy and competency in the Microsoft suite will be required and prior exposure to Jira will be strongly preferred.
