Base pay range
A$139,860.00/yr - A$149,485.00/yr

The Role
* Design, lead and manage complex and high impact investigations and activities in relation to potential breaches of legislation, directions, rules or manuals to achieve operational and strategic outcomes.
* Manage and direct the operations and resources of the team by driving improvements in investigation processes and systems.
* Assist the General Manager with regards to complex matters and in the formulation, implementation and evaluation of departmental strategy and operational plans.
* Develop lawful and effective evidence gathering strategies.
* Manage the preparation of formal correspondence, review applications for warrants and orders, approve evidence matrices and manage compilation of briefs of evidence.
* Develop and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective outcomes.
* Prepare complex and detailed reports, briefing papers and submissions for review by the General Manager, Executive Director, Deputy Director General and Director General.
* Represent the Department at national, state and local level committees or industry forums as required.
* Provide mentorship, advice, guidance and direction to team members.
* Identify and respond to emerging issues and trends, challenge processes and manage risks.
* Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity while handling sensitive information.
