Job Description
The Interim Financial Controller will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Manage and oversee the preparation of financial reports, including budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic business decisions.
- Oversee cash flow management and optimise financial performance.
- Assist with audit queries and requirements
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals within the accounting & finance department.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies.
- Monitor and control financial risks, ensuring robust internal controls are in place.
- Work closely with external auditors and stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Finance Manager should have:
- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as CA or CPA.
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and regulations.
- Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Audit background preferred
