Brief DescriptionThe Ten Tops assistant's main responsibility is to ensure their section/store is adequately stocked, well merchandised, and presented to maximise sales while providing excellent customer service at all times.
This may include operating the register if required.
In a small team, you will need to be skilled across all areas.
RequirementsResponsibilities include:
Maintaining a strong culture of safety at all times, including the correct use of carton cutters, ladders, and trolleys.
Following department procedures as per the Ten Tops standard.
Effective communication.
Ask questions if unsure.
Providing efficient and accurate customer service to valued clients.
Maintaining high standards of merchandising and presentation in your work area.
Stocking, replenishing, and rotating shelves and displays; rotation is paramount.
Keeping your work area contained, with trolleys, ladders, and boxes neatly to avoid creating trip hazards or obstructing customer flow.
Sectioning off and cleaning up all liquid spills immediately.
Operating and balancing the cash register.
Maintaining a high standard of personal presentation and uniform.
Fostering a happy workplace environment.
Following manager instructions at all times.
Assisting with product selection as required.
Performing cleaning duties as needed.
Being punctual, reliable, and positive.
