Social Worker – Part‐time, temporary (up to 0.6 FTE).
Social Worker
Liwara Catholic Primary School is a double‐stream school in Greenwood. The school caters for 470 students in a co‐educational setting from Pre‐Kindergarten to Year 6. Staff are committed to providing a child‐focused, holistic Catholic education. A school‐based Out of School Hours Care service and instrumental tuition are also available to our families.
Responsibilities
* Partner with students, families and key staff to enhance student well‐being.
* Create and design well‐being presentations to support and upskill the school community.
* Adhere to policy and procedure in the delivery of student support services.
* Prioritise and advocate for the well‐being of students; prioritise a culture of child safety with the school and consistently apply the principles and practices of the CEWA Childsafe Framework.
* Work in collaboration with key stakeholders to develop and facilitate preventative programmes; explore, network and enhance relations with internal parties and external organisations to support delivery of programmes.
* Proactively communicate with key stakeholders to build on delivery of individual and collective student well‐being programmes, including active contribution in relevant meetings.
* Deliver a best‐practice approach to intervention, including individual and collective counselling methodologies.
Qualifications Required
* Relevant Social Worker qualification eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (e.g., accredited Bachelor or Master of Social Work with minimum 1,000 hours of supervised field education).
* Accreditation to work in a Catholic School (or willingness to attain).
* Working With Children Check.
* Current National Police History Check as issued by the Department of Education, Western Australia.
