Diagnostic Imaging Specialist
The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist is a key role in delivering high-quality patient care at our academic medical center.
* Prepares exam rooms for daily clinical activities, ensuring equipment and supplies are available.
* Examines patients' eyes for abnormalities and measures intraocular pressure using specialized equipment.
* Accurately documents test results in patients' charts, adhering to department standards.
* Provides clear instructions to patients regarding eye care and maintains accurate records.
This position requires the ability to work effectively under pressure, meeting deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. A Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or Certified Ophthalmic Technologist (COMT) certification is also mandatory.
* Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in ophthalmic diagnostic testing.
* High School diploma or equivalent, with proficiency in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
* Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships and communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
