Our client based in Subiaco is looking for a Finance Officer to join their team part-time, working 2-3 days per week. This role is ensuring the efficient handling of accounting matters, including managing the payroll process of all full time and casually contracted employees, processing accounts payable, generating financial reports for board and funding bodies, and monthly forecasting in consultation with the General Manager.
1. Handle employee onboarding, payroll, superannuation, and tax declarations
2. Process weekly payroll via MYOB and manage payroll queries efficiently
3. Prepare superannuation payments and adhere to industry and workplace laws
4. Perform weekly bookkeeping, including payments, invoicing, and receipts
5. Manage monthly financial tasks, such as account preparation and bank reconciliations
6. Oversee governance reporting, BAS preparations, and the annual audit process
7. Participate in company functions and meetings as necessary

8. Relevant qualifications, preferably Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping
9. Demonstrated competency and experience in a similar role
10. Essential expertise in MYOB and Excel
11. Comprehensive understanding of the Fair Work Act and Live Performance Award (LPA)
12. Exceptional ability in handling sensitive and confidential information
13. Outstanding numeracy, alongside written and verbal communication skills
