Overview
We are located in Forrestdale, currently looking for a new candidate to commence their career as an Apprentice Cabinet Maker. We specialise in kitchens, house renovations and school renovations, kitchens, laundries, bathrooms and all joinery aspects.
Working with a qualified and skilled cabinet maker, you will be taught all areas of factory and onsite methods to develop into a skilled and qualified cabinet maker.
5 days per week plus additional overtime as required. Study for the qualification will be via TAFE and attendance will be advised upon enrolment.
Responsibilities
* Participate in environmentally sustainable work practices
* Communicate in the workplace
* Work in a team
* Use furniture finishing sector hand and power tools
* Assemble joinery and cabinets
* Make measurements and calculations
* Assist Cabinet makers with onsite fitting
* Read and interpret work documents
* Select and apply hardware
* Apply cost factors to work practices
Qualifications & Requirements
* To be successful you will need to have the following:
* Punctual
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Mature minded
* Passion for the industry
* MUST be reliable and trustworthy with an excellent attitude
* Manual Driver licence or in the process of receiving
* Basic knowledge of hand tools
* High level of attention to detail
* Physically fit and capable
* Reliable and hardworking
* Willingness to learn and develop
* Preferred but not essential:
* High school year 12
* Driver's licence
