The retreat offers guests in the region a unique outback bush camping experience with environmentally friendly accommodation options and camping options with a touch of outback luxury and a taste of genuine mateship and hospitality in outback Western Australia!
About the role
The primary focus is to provide excellent customer service and authentic quality meals to ensure guests' experience expectations are met and exceeded.
Current menu in place is substantial catering for the adventure-seeking guests returning from their days swimming in gorges and hiking the sensational national park trails, with a touch of Outback Flare!
Supported by an off-site executive chef and a capable operations admin team to assist with the paperwork, this is a "hand on" role suited to an up and coming Sous chef.
The successful applicant will live on-site and become part of the small dedicated team responsible for;
* Ensuring that food preparation standards including health regulations are met.
* Ability to be flexible in meeting seasonal customer demands, in line with Retreat occupancy.

Working a 5 day week, the role allows for adequate time to explore the amazing region. Meals and accommodation provided onsite, plus travel allowance to assist with relocation.
The selected applicants will have a friendly personality, a love of nature, a sense of adventure, and an eagerness to explore the local environment.
Skills and experience
* Have a consistent working history in senior roles (Head Chef / Sous Chef).
* Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Head Chef or Sous Chef positions is required.
* Must be fully qualified.
* A true passion for high-quality, authentic food.
* Flexible, and able to problem solve whilst operating in a remote location.
* Have experience working in remote areas and living in close quarters.
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent culinary qualification is required.
* Previous experience working in remote hospitality environments is essential.
* First aid certificate.
* RSA.
* Police clearance (current within 3 months).
