Join WSP's Mining Sustaining Capital team. You will work with seasoned professionals on iconic mining projects, supporting project managers in resolving complex engineering and execution challenges and driving project controls across major programs.
This is a 12‐month contract, providing a pivotal role in the successful delivery of mining projects.
What you'll do
* Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules using Primavera P6.
* Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors and stakeholders to gather input and ensure alignment with project timelines.
* Perform critical path analysis and scenario planning.
* Track progress, identify delays, and recommend mitigation strategies.
* Prepare reports that support project end users, project management, including milestone and variance tracking, earned value analysis, forecasting and cashflow.
* Facilitate workshops for schedule development / update and recovery.
* Deliver best client outcomes/options that save the client time or cost.
About you
* 7-15 years of experience in scheduling.
* Expertise in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
* Proven ability to prepare high‐level technical reports and review medium‐size project reports.
* Experience in developing a detailed resource‐loaded execution schedule.
* Know how to use a resource‐loaded schedule to develop S‐Curves, earned value, and cash forecasts.
* Preferably experience with Power BI and reporting.
* Preferably experience in preparing and running Schedule Risk Assessments.
