In the role of CADET you will be afforded the opportunity to start (or continue) study towards an Associate Degree in Engineering, supplemented with on the job learning and experience including:
+ Producing civil designs and engineering drawings, via the use of AutoCAD and 12d;
+ Developing excellent drawing/model management skills, via the use of Projectwise and 12d Synergy;
+ Developing excellent drawing/model checking skills;
+ Developing Federated models via the use of Navisworks;
+ Liaison with peers (i.e. designers and project team engineers) to ensure timely delivery of project outputs.;
Minimum Requirements
+ You have an interest in developing skills that will enable you to contribute to delivery of moderate to large scale projects.
+ Take pride in your work and passionate about making a positive difference to the community you are working within.
+ Strong communication skills and/or demonstrated experience working collaboratively within a team.
+ Interest in developing drafting and design skills, establishing a career as an engineering designer/drafter.
+ Eligible and willing, or already enrolled, in University study for an Associate Degree in Engineering.
+ Enthusiastic, driven and have a focus on safety
Preferred Qualifications
+ Completed or Graduating from Year 12;
+ Enrolled or eligible to enrol in an Associate Degree of Civil Engineering;
+ Basic proficiency in using AutoCAD with a low error rate;
+ Sound skills to use all Microsoft Office packages..
As part of the Cadetship, you will be required to maintain good pass levels in Associate Degree (external studies) to achieve successful completion of this qualification.
