We are always on the lookout for new talent to join our team and help us innovate solutions that support a greener future. We are currently seeking an experienced Commissioning Technician / Engineer to join us in our Perth office.
About the role
The Commissioning Technician / Engineer provides technical services to our customers, focusing on electronic automation systems for power generation and renewable energy management. Key responsibilities include the conceptual design of these control systems, overseeing their installation, and executing commissioning activities.
The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of technical know‑how, in addition to the following key requirements:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications;
* Bachelors of Engineering (Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic) or
* An "A Class" electrical license (highly regarded but not essential)
* 2 or more years' commissioning experience working in a similar field/role
* Developed knowledge of one or more of the following:
o Power systems and their components, such as generators, inverters, BESS, switchgear and transformers
o PLC or microprocessor-based controls, software, and logic
o Renewable energy and hybrid microgrids
o Diesel and gas reciprocating engines
o Industrial networking and communications protocols
* Demonstrated expertise in at least two of the technical areas listed above
* Highly developed fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
* A current driver's licence
* Australian residency with unrestricted work eligibility
Please note that travel is an inherent part of this position.
Travel requirements comprise 25‑50% of work time as an integral component of this role.
