Ocius Technology is an Australian company dedicated to developing and deploying cutting edge Uncrewed Surface Vehicles (USVs). Our vessel's harness Wind, Solar and Wave power to remain at sea collecting vital data for Defence and Civilian applications.
We are under contracts with RAN, RNZN and USA and are responding in an agile way to an ambitious program of building and deploying multiple USVs for operations around Australia and beyond.
About the Role
The Marine Support Crew plays a critical role in ensuring Ocius' fleet of Bluebottle USVs are mission-ready and operational. By performing maintenance, pre and post-mission checks, and managing launch and recovery, this team enables the reliable deployment of USVs for persistent ocean monitoring and communications.
The Operations function is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the design of Ocius assets, particularly in our on-water operations, maintenance and training of both internal staff and external customers.
A typical day in as an MSC could include:
* Launching and recovering Bluebottles
* Carrying out routine yard-based maintenance
* Assisting with Bluebottle mission planning
Selection Criteria
* Ability to pass pre-employment medical or obtain clearance
* Intermediate computer literacy (including use of customized USV operation software)
* Strong problem-solving skills with ability to seek technical support when required
* Ability to work independently and manage tasks requiring critical thinking
* Demonstrated ability to follow safety standards and company procedures
* Driver's License
