About the Role
Lead the Technical Records function, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational excellence for the company's fleet of aircraft.
Responsibilities
* Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of aircraft records and maintenance information.
* Maintain a Technical Records system for efficient search and retrieval of aircraft records.
* Oversee upkeep of maintenance information database and tracking systems.
* Ensure records comply with CASA/FAA regulations and company requirements.
* Track and resolve discrepancies in aircraft maintenance records and work packages.
* Audit physical aircraft and engine records and Aeronet for accuracy and completeness.
* Record all scheduled maintenance, Airworthiness Directives (AD), and Service Bulletins (SB) in the relevant logbooks.
* Develop and implement new processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
* Use Aeronet for maintenance planning, scheduling, and parts processing.
* Assist the Head of Aircraft Airworthiness and Maintenance Control in managing instructions on continued airworthiness and processing maintenance requirements in Aeronet.
* Process completed work packs and aircraft defects in Aeronet.
* Prepare maintenance release documentation for certification by the Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) / Authorised Mechanic.
* Ensure submitted paperwork is complete and accurate, including serialised/non‑serialised components, ATA chapters, MEL codes, expiry dates, flight hours, and cycles.
* Maintain Aircraft technical records through loose‑leaf logbook entries.
* Audit completed Work Packages to verify all planned maintenance requirements were performed.
* Administer and maintain aircraft record filing system for required retention and archiving.
* Monitor and validate recorded aircraft hours, cycles, and other data relevant to maintenance scheduling.
* Maintain and secure aircraft and component records.
* Assist the Chief Engineer with Logbooks, work packages, and modifications.
* Assist Directors of Maintenance with projected fleet planning and reports.
* Monitor the effectiveness of maintenance programmes, reviewing and amending Maintenance Program Statements, Systems of Maintenance, and Minimum Equipment Lists.
* Manage and plan maintenance activities as delegated by the HAAMC.
* Monitor the Aircraft Reliability Program to ensure integrity of aircraft safety and reliability levels.
Experience
* Experience working with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and vendors.
* Experience using Aeronet or similar maintenance tracking software.
* Interest in the aviation industry.
* Aptitude for practical mechanical processes and technical documentation.
* Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
* Initiative and responsibility.
* Sound computer skills.
* Good workplace and technical communication skills.
