Tonitto Cakes is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team in Shellharbour, NSW. We are looking for someone passionate, reliable, and skilled in preparing high-quality cakes, pastries, desserts, and baked products.
Key Duties
* Preparing, baking, and decorating cakes, pastries, desserts, and other bakery products
* Measuring and mixing ingredients according to recipes and production requirements
* Preparing fillings, creams, icings, glazes, and decorations
* Ensuring all products are prepared to a high standard of quality, taste, and presentation
* Operating bakery and pastry equipment safely and efficiently
* Monitoring baking times, temperatures, and product consistency
* Maintaining a clean and hygienic work area in line with food safety standards
* Assisting with stock control, ordering, and minimizing wastage
* Supporting menu development and seasonal product ideas
* Working closely with the team to meet daily production requirements
Requirements
* At least 2 years of relevant experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
* Strong knowledge of cake, pastry, and dessert preparation
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good attention to detail and presentation skills
* Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
* Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and busy periods when required
