Support Worker - Enhancing Quality of Life for Elderly and Disabled Clients
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing personalized support with daily activities to clients in need. Your reliable and compassionate nature will ensure the physical comfort and emotional well-being of our elderly or disabled clients in a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting while respecting their dignity and privacy.
* Mobility Support: Help clients move around safely using appropriate equipment such as walkers.
* Household Support: Perform housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry to maintain a hygienic living space.
* Companionship: Engage clients in social activities and meaningful conversations to prevent isolation.
* Emotional Support: Provide empathetic care to alleviate anxiety and promote mental well-being.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client care, including observations and any changes in their condition.
To succeed in this role, you will require a compassionate and patient attitude, effective communication skills, reliability, trustworthiness, and respect for confidentiality. Physical capability to assist with mobility and personal care tasks is essential. Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, or related fields is advantageous. First aid and CPR certification is required, along with a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent, and a Police Check.
