The Role
As Safety & Quality Officer, you will:
* Lead WHS activities and quality assurance on-site
* Report directly to the Site Manager
* Ensure compliance during assembly and installation phases, including working at heights and machine testing
* Conduct proactive toolbox talks, audits, and incident reporting
* Oversee adherence to safety protocols and quality standards (installation checklists, quality boards)
* Support implementation and management of WHS systems (global platform upgrade or new system)
* Collaborate with diverse teams and maintain a safe, productive environment
What We're Looking For
* Experience in construction or automation projects (tier-one builder exposure highly regarded)
* WHS qualifications and strong knowledge of Australian safety standards
* Hands-on experience with incident reporting, audits, and compliance
* Quality assurance experience (installation checks, documentation)
* Strong admin and IT skills
* Ability to be firm yet fair, blending with a multicultural team and keeping the site moving safely
