About Our Department
Part of the Allied Health and Clinical Services Directorate, we provide occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and speech pathology services to patients of the Women's, encompassing the clinical streams of Women's Health and Neonatal care.
About The Role
As a Senior Physiotherapist in the Women's Health team you will provide safe specialised physiotherapy treatment as part of our women's health team. You'll provide care to our inpatient and outpatient population, in post-operative, continence and pelvic floor, and musculoskeletal issues. A key component of this role will also be in our Chronic Pelvic Pain clinic on a Monday.
A Regular Day Could See You
* Administer safe, specialised pelvic floor physiotherapy treatment for patients with chronic pelvic pain as well as conditions such as incontinence, prolapse, sexual dysfunction, vulval conditions or musculoskeletal pain
* Work closely with the multidisciplinary team involved in the care of women and their families
* Work within the team to lead and coach others, including role-modeling team behaviors, engaging, and influencing senior stakeholders and acting as a key support to the Physiotherapy Manager
* Participate in research and promote and participate in evaluation and continuous improvement processes
About You
You will be someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who is committed to providing excellence in patient care.
You'll Bring With You
* A relevant degree in Physiotherapy and current registration with AHPRA
* An interest or passion for physiotherapy and women's health
* Postgraduate qualifications in Physiotherapy, specifically a Specialist Certificate in Physiotherapy Women's Health or equivalent
* Demonstrated performance excellence in women's health or public health setting, that shows an understanding of the specific needs of this patient population
* Interest or experience in the clinical management of patients with continence issues, pelvic floor dysfunction and pregnancy-related musculoskeletal disorders
