Apprentice baker

Bakers Delight Myaree is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Apprentice Baker to join our baking team. This is a full‐time apprenticeship position based in Myaree, WA 6154. As an Apprentice Baker, you will be learning the craft of baking whilst working alongside experienced bakers in a professional bakery environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about baking who is ready to develop their skills and knowledge in a supportive setting. You will gain hands‐on experience in all aspects of bread and pastry production, from preparation through to final product quality control.

• Assisting in the preparation of dough and ingredients according to established recipes and quality standards
• Learning and performing various mixing, shaping and proofing techniques under supervision
• Operating baking equipment safely and effectively, including ovens, mixers and proofing machines
• Ensuring all baked goods meet our high quality and consistency standards
• Assisting with the production of a range of breads, pastries and baked items
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the baking area and throughout the bakery
• Following food safety protocols and best practices in all production activities
• Contributing to the efficient running of the bakery production schedule
• Receiving training and mentorship from experienced bakers and kitchen staff

• A genuine passion for baking and a desire to develop skills in the baking trade
• No previous baking experience required: we welcome complete beginners who are eager to learn
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast‐paced environment
• Good physical fitness and stamina, as the role involves standing for extended periods and manual tasks
• Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude towards learning
• Willingness to follow instructions and take on feedback constructively
• Food safety awareness and a commitment to maintaining excellent hygiene standards
• Relevant apprenticeship qualification or enrollment in a baking apprenticeship programme (or willingness to undertake one)
• Ability to work early morning shifts (bakers typically start work early)
