Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accountant based in the Greater Newcastle Area. The responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing tax compliance and reporting, analyzing financial data, processing payroll, and assisting with audits. The Accountant will collaborate with clients to ensure adherence to government regulations and provide practical financial advice to support their business goals.
Qualifications Strong accounting and financial reporting skills, including the ability to prepare financial statements and handle tax complianceProficient in payroll processing, bookkeeping, and general ledger reconciliationAnalytical thinking and expertise in financial data analysisExperience with accounting software and toolsExcellent client communication and interpersonal skillsIn-depth understanding of Australian tax laws and regulations (preferred)Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA or equivalent certification (preferred but not required)Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
