Fencer/Farm Hand Position Available!
Location: Warragul
An exciting opportunity exists for an individual to join our team as a Fencer/Farm Hand. This is a full-time role with a 100% Australian, locally owned, and operated family business with over 20 years of farming experience. We are seeking a self-driven individual with strong fencing and general farm maintenance skills.
This role is best suited to someone who understands the day-to-day operations of a farm and is experienced in fencing, property upkeep, and livestock care. You will report directly to the owners on a weekly or as-needed basis.
Core Responsibilities:
* Fencing installation, repairs, and maintenance (post and wire, electric fencing, and boundary fences).
* Breeding & raising livestock (Angus beef).
* Assisting livestock during calving.
* General farming and feeding activities.
* Livestock handling.
* Maintenance of farm infrastructure, including water supply systems and farm buildings.
* General tractor operations throughout the year.
* Operating farm equipment, including but not limited to trucks, tractors, Utes, quad bikes, and spray units.
The Successful Applicant Will Have:
* Experience in fencing, including constructing and repairing different types of fences.
* Ability to operate various farm vehicles and machinery.
* Strong problem-solving and practical skills.
* Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
* Physical fitness to undertake manual and sometimes heavy work.
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
* Effective time management and organisation skills.
* A self-motivated attitude with a strong work ethic.
