CELOTTI WORKFORCE is currently seeking an experienced General Manager – Development for our client working on large-scale construction and property development projects across residential, commercial, hospitality and real estate sectors based in Darwin, NT.
This role will suit a hands-on Development General Manager with strong experience in end-to-end development and construction delivery, ideally within complex, multi-sector project environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic leadership across the development portfolio, driving growth, diversification and profitability
* Oversee the full project lifecycle from site acquisition, feasibility and due diligence through to approvals, construction and sales
* Lead and coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders including consultants, contractors and regulators
* Assess development opportunities, including financial feasibility, capital structuring and risk management
* Manage project reporting, performance tracking and quality assurance across all phases
* Lead procurement strategies, tendering, contract negotiation and project commissioning
* Ensure compliance with planning, WHS, environmental and regulatory frameworks
* Build and maintain strong industry relationships to support ongoing project success and pipeline growth
Our Ideal Candidate:
* Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or Business/Commerce
* 10–15+ years’ experience in senior leadership roles across development and construction
* Proven track record delivering full development lifecycles from acquisition through to completion and sales
* Strong commercial and financial acumen, including feasibility modelling and investment structuring
* Solid understanding of planning approvals, development applications and compliance processes
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
* Demonstrated leadership capability with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach
* Strong commitment to safety, quality and environmental standards
