Team Leader - Central Waste (Weekday) [Bungendore]
* Full-time (76 hours per fortnight) - Ongoing
* $43.38 - $47.94 gross per hour + 12% super
Team Leader - Central Waste (Weekend) [Bungendore]
* Part-time (64.5 hours per fortnight - work pattern covering weekend) - Ongoing
* $43.38 - $47.94 gross per hour + penalty rates + 12% super
Team Leader - Rural Waste [Braidwood]
* Part-time (68 hours per fortnight - work pattern covering weekend) - Ongoing
* $43.38 - $47.94 gross per hour + penalty rates + 12% super
The role: Are you looking for an opportunity to grow your leadership skills while contributing to a cleaner and greener community? The Waste Branch are seeking team leaders to manage staff and help deliver essential waste services to the community.
In this role you will:
* Manage daily operations of the Resource Recovery Centre and Waste Transfer Stations, as well as waste collection and illegal dumping responses.
* Oversee and support staff to deliver reliable waste services.
* Deliver outstanding communication and customer service to staff and community members
* Manage and monitor daily financial transactions for waste services across the area.
* Handle the operation, maintenance, and servicing of Council equipment and plant.
* Assist in delivering Health, Safety, Environment and Quality outcomes for council.
We are looking for someone who:
* Possesses relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in a similar leadership role.
* Has excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Has a passion for waste, waste management and the environment
* Has proven capability to operate and maintain relevant equipment and plant.
* Possesses the ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team to successfully complete goals within agreed timelines.
* Has a current 'C' class or greater drivers' licence.
