About the Role
A regional government agency in New South Wales is seeking a highly skilled Flood Risk Management Officer to support local government in assessing flood risks across north west NSW. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and expertise in floodplain management, as well as excellent relationship building skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough assessments of flood risk across designated areas in north west NSW.
* Develop and implement strategies to mitigate flood risks and promote community resilience.
* Collaborate with local government agencies and stakeholders to ensure effective flood risk management.
Requirements
* Degree in a relevant field such as floodplain management, environmental science or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in floodplain management and related fields.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
What We Offer
* A full-time position with a salary range of $116,059 to $129,288.
