Situated near Port Adelaide, our client is currently seeking expressions of interest for a wharf attendee. Ad-hoc hours will be offered with no guarantee of a minimum weekly requirement.
Varied working backgrounds will be considered. Experience in brownfield, heavy industry and major hazard facilities such as mining would be highly regarded.
Some duties may include:
- Performing random safety checks of the work site.
- Ensuring testing equipment is calibrated and in good working order.
- Opening and closing pipeline and loading arm valves under direction.
- Manual connection and disconnect of loading arms under direction.
- Undertaking regular pipe line walks/inspections during discharge activities.
- Taking responsibility for undertaking and maintaining product test result records.
- Reporting incidents and maintaining a high level of terminal housekeeping.
- Participation in Risk Assessments.
- Performing minor maintenance tasks

- Background/working experience in an aligned transferable environment
- A strong safety and quality focus with a demonstrated ability to adhere to strict safety and quality guidelines
- Sound time management and organisational skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and team focus
- The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- A willingness to undergo extensive police background and medical checks
- The ability to work across a 24/7 roster
