About the role
This role of Account Manager will be responsible for the continued development and growth of the business through promoting and selling our suite of products. You will be responsible for meeting or exceeding sales targets assigned to you through planning and managing your sales activities. Your primary responsibilities include:
* To attain the performance goals and KPI's as agreed with management
* Leverage existing, and develop new relationships with key, executive decision-makers to successfully position the company as a preferred solutions provided through the product portfolio
* Create new pipeline opportunities
* Extend and develop products and services penetration into new customers, market and industry segments
* Develop and assist installed customer base through life cycle & education services
* Develop, drive and lead growth initiative programs across the industry
* Provide weekly, monthly and ad hoc progress and forecast reports
* Take a pro-active role in working with the team in pursuit of projects to achieve order conversion to maximize the potential for the company with our products and services
* Assisting Commercial Manager with tenders process from writing to reviewing and submitting
* Actively participate in scheduled Managers and Sales Meetings to ensure all aspects of Business Management and Sales are fully understood and implemented
* Extend education and training offerings to external and internal stakeholders
* Host technical customer presentations
* Align the customer stocking, pricing and commercial strategic plan with company strategies
* Gather competitive intelligence, and improve customer service, consistent with division sales strategies and account plan
Skills and Experience
The ideal applicant will be technically proficient and hands on.
They will also have:
* Engineering degree desirable
* Proven successful track record in sales
* Hands on exposure to IT infrastructure – ideally CCTV/camera installation, software deployment, Firewall rules, cabling schematics
* A high level of autonomy and self-driven
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Customer and supplier management experience
