The purpose of this role is to support the Site/Account Manager by ensuring the site is supervised efficiently and effectively, and that the specified cleaning standards are met and maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support and assist the Site/Account Manager in their duties.
* Ensure cleaners are trained and records are maintained effectively.
* Adhere to site regulations and company policies.
* Liaise with customers as required.
* Undertake own cleaning duties and cover cleaning as necessary.
* Supervise employees to ensure specified cleaning and work standards are maintained at all times.
* Welcome, induct, and train new/replacement cleaners, ensuring they understand their roles and complete training records.
* Monitor attendance and time-keeping of employees, notifying the Site/Account Manager immediately of relief requirements and any failures to adhere to company/region reporting procedures.
* Ensure staff wear the correct uniform, are polite, and represent the company positively.
* Inform the Account Manager immediately of any vacancies and provide support in appointing cleaners.
* Update and check the site communications book daily and take action as requested.
* Complete and submit required paperwork on time, including timesheets.
* Order cleaning materials and ensure they are available on-site in the appropriate location.
* Coordinate periodic project work (if applicable) and any additional work quoted and agreed by the client.
* Assist in monthly quality audits and take corrective action as necessary.
* Ensure awareness and understanding of site folders and keep them up-to-date.
* Support the Site/Account Manager in their duties and undertake additional tasks as required.
Health and Safety:
* Taking reasonable care of one's own health and safety.
* Not putting others at risk through actions or inactions during work.
* Not interfering with or misusing health, safety, or welfare provisions.
* Reporting injuries, strains, or illnesses resulting from work activities.
* Informing the company if something affects ability to work, such as pregnancy or injury.
* Telling the company about medication that may impact safety and that of others when driving or operating machinery.
* Cooperating to receive training for safe work activities.
* Ensuring adherence to Churchill's training, safe working practices, and Health and Safety policies.
* Facilitating communication and providing feedback as necessary.
* Maintaining equipment in a safe condition.
* Recording accidents, incidents, and ill-health arising out of work.
* Regularly inspecting and monitoring work areas for unsafe conditions.
* Ensuring subcontractors have correct method statements and risk assessments for their activities.
* Monitoring and reviewing health and safety arrangements with the line manager.
* Implementing all of Churchill's safety policies.
* Informing the Site/Area Manager immediately of non-compliance or issues.
* Awareness of individual and reporting staff responsibilities regarding the Company's Health and Safety Policy Statement.
* Completing accident reports and informing the Site/Account Manager.
* Using equipment safely and responsibly, wearing protective clothing as supplied.
