Our client is one of Australia's premier food manufacturers with an estimated turnover of $200M. Supplying all leading retailers across Australia and New Zealand this is a complex business looking for an established, operationally focused CFO.
The executive team and board are home to some of Australia's most impressive figures who require an experienced operator to lead the financial and commercial realm of the business alongside key operational stakeholders.
The company has a competent financial reporting team, clean processes, and a well-functioning system which create room for the CFO to focus on running the day-to-day operations and strategy. Key challenges will surround accurate forecasting in a complicated macroeconomic landscape with both logístical and economic factors in a growing state of flux.
**The Role**
This is a hands-on, operationally focused CFO role which will see you oversee and directly engage the finance function, key general managers, and IT. Your role includes the following:
- Develop board packs and present financial reports to the C-Suite
- Consolidate month-end and year-end results
- Lead critical tender negotiation and cost forecasting for new and existing product lines
- Support business units in delivering key operational objectives
- Manage procurement and supply chain cost fluctuations
- Map financial implications for various macroeconomic scenarios
- Asset and cash flow management
- Assist in the recruitment process as the business requirements change
- Review and develop quarterly strategic plan in cooperation with other executives
- Manage operational compliance and verify quality controls are met
- Set performance goals and ensure all staff receive adequate training

**Your Skills and Experience**
- Food or Manufacturing background highly regarded
- CPA or CA accreditation
- Supply chain and procurement experience is advantageous
- Must be an experienced CFO profile
- Proven commercial excellence
- Impeccable communication skills and decisive decision-making
- Exceptional business analysis skills
- Ability to start within 2-3 weeks is essential
