Your new role
As an IT Architect, you'll play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure solutions across a diverse regional environment. This 24-month fixed-term contract, based in Brisbane, involves working closely with internal teams, vendors, and service owners to deliver secure and efficient IT services. You'll contribute to infrastructure projects, support compliance activities, and provide technical leadership in escalated scenarios.
Some of your day-to-day duties will include:
* Designing and delivering infrastructure solutions across data centre environments
* Supporting audit and compliance activities, including disaster recovery planning
* Maintaining and improving infrastructure components such as servers, storage, networking, and virtualisation platforms
* Collaborating with stakeholders across APAC to ensure operational and security standards are met
* Evaluating technologies and suggesting improvements to enhance system performance and reliability
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you'll need proven experience in enterprise-level data centre operations. You will ideally have a security clearance or have the ability to obtain one. You must be an Australian Citizen and ITAR compliant.
Your key competencies will include:
* Familiarity with virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix) and operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, macOS)
* Understanding of network architecture including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and Wi-Fi
* Exposure to enterprise storage (SAN/NAS), backup solutions (Cohesity, Veeam), and data replication
* Knowledge of security frameworks and tools relevant to regulated or classified environments
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills
* Certifications such as VMware VCP, CCNA, or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals are beneficial
