Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Wastewater Operations Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of our wastewater treatment and reuse services. This is a pivotal leadership role that ensures operational excellence, environmental compliance and continuous improvement across our wastewater network.
What Youll Do
* Lead the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants and reuse sites
* Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations
* Manage operational risks and respond to incidents effectively
* Provide site‑based leadership to a team of 2‑4 staff
* Drive innovation and continuous improvement in wastewater operations
* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders including regulators and contractors
* Support strategic projects such as the Bendigo Groundwater interim solution
What Youll Bring
* Tertiary qualifications in engineering science or a related discipline
* Extensive experience in wastewater treatment and reuse operations
* Proven leadership and team management skills
* Strong understanding of asset management and maintenance principles
* Ability to manage risk and make sound decisions under pressure
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* A current Victorian Drivers Licence and Australian working rights

Salary
The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 5. The $115,162 – $131,623 superannuation salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
