Position: Account Manager
Business Division: Corporate Broking
Location: Primary
The purpose of this role is to manage a portfolio of accounts ensuring high quality service for new and existing clients. As Account Manager, you are developing and maintaining client relationships, maximising revenue for Gallagher through retaining and building on existing accounts, and by generating new business opportunities.
Key Accountabilities
* Maintaining strong relationships and trust with portfolio of clients, based on demonstrated ability to manage accounts both smoothly and professionally.
* Ensuring client needs are identified and met by taking a proactive approach to all aspects of account management and service delivery, and ensuring clients are actively involved with the organisation's subject‐matter experts, insurance products, services and solutions.
* Design, implement and manage an agreed service plan with each client, and look to continually develop and improve the service delivered.
* Implementing renewal and broking strategies.
* Keep informed of industry trends by attending internal and/or external meetings on topical issues.
* Proactively manage and resolve client issues, including answering and responding to daily client enquiries.
* Gather client information to support renewal documentation, including the production of relevant reports in accordance with Gallagher standards.
* Maintain awareness of all large and potentially complicated claim‐related matters and participate actively with claims personnel in negotiating equitable claim settlements on behalf of clients.
* Generate initiatives toward maximising account profitability.
* Develop and maintain meaningful working relationships with insurers and Gallagher subject‐matter experts.
* Ensure activities are completed within determined parameters.
* Develop and train Account Executives, acting as a positive role model in the business.
* Review documentation produced by Account Executives to ensure compliance with standards.
* Ensure compliance of systems and processes with the Financial Services Reform Act and relevant legislation.
* Demonstrate understanding of Gallagher capabilities (insurance, financial services, premium funding) and promote these products when opportunities arise.
* Support Gallagher people‐management strategies by actively supporting team staff, maximizing their contribution while maintaining job satisfaction and personal development.
* Apply best business practice—ethically, professionally and with integrity so that Gallagher's reputation and brand are never undermined.

Qualifications & Education
* Diploma of Financial Services or suitable relevant tertiary qualifications desirable.
* Tier 1 Insurance broking qualifications (AU).
* Previous experience working within Insurance or Financial Services advantageous.
