What you'll be doingAs a Clinical Midwife Specialist Grade 2, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality after-hours care, applying advanced clinical knowledge to support midwives and improve outcomes for women and newborns.
* Coordinate after hours maternity care and support midwifery staff
* Provide expert clinical leadership and evidence-based guidance
* Lead quality improvement, case review and staff development
* Develop comprehensive care and discharge plans for families
* Build strong partnerships to ensure safe and accountable care

Registration: Current Registration as a Registered Midwife with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria
Current Authority to Practice as a Midwife with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with relevant post registration qualifications and at least 3 years' recent experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification.
Evidence of clinical leadership skills and the ability to prioritise and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework to plan, deliver and coordinate women and newborn care.
Demonstrated ability to apply advanced clinical expertise in relation to clinical midwifery practice and independently make decisions that support positive outcomes for women and newborns.
Demonstrated ability to manage and support midwifery staff during obstetric emergency and when complex midwifery care is provided after-hours.
Demonstrated commitment to excellence in midwifery practice, the provision of education to others and own professional development.
Demonstrated effective communication through the use of information technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
