About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Support Specialist to join our legal team. As a key member of our team, you will provide essential legal support in a global agriculture network.
* Assist in providing commercially oriented legal advice across various business contracts.
* Support in drafting commercial agreements, including leases and licenses.
* Advise on day-to-day legal and operational issues.
* Assist with managing insurance matters for Australia and New Zealand.
* Support the team in managing litigation, alternative dispute resolution, and debt recovery actions.
* Coordinate with external legal advisors to support business needs.
* Monitor legislative changes and support legal compliance training.
* Participate in cross-business internal projects.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Tertiary qualification in law.
* Strong interest in commercial law and willingness to grow an in-house legal career.
* Motivation, proactivity, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Exposure to construction law, general litigation, or corporate/commercial law through internships or clerkships is a plus.
* Ability to understand and respond to commercial drivers behind business decisions.
* Up-to-date knowledge of legal trends, ideally through ongoing CPD engagement.
* Excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders.
* Familiarity with technology in legal tasks.
* Willingness to understand our Australian and New Zealand business.
