About the role
Cairns construction is seeking a driven and ambitious Apprentice Carpenter to join our team in Perth, WA. As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow within a supportive and collaborative environment. This full-time role will allow you to develop your carpentry skills while working alongside experienced tradespeople.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting qualified Carpenters with a variety of construction and renovation tasks
* Learning how to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Developing proficiency in the use of hand and power tools
* Participating in the installation of fixtures, fittings, and cabinetry
* Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
* Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
What we're looking for
* A keen interest in the Carpentry and Cabinet Making trade
* Complete beginners are welcome to apply as no prior carpentry experience is required
* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
* The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Good physical fitness and manual dexterity
* A willingness to learn and a commitment to continuous improvement
* A valid driver's licence is preferred
* Applicants must be between 17-18 years of age
* Minimum Year 10 education level is required
* Australian permanent residency or citizenship is required
