Mohawk Flooring Oceania is looking for a strategic legal leader to join our Senior Management Team. As General Counsel and Company Secretary, you'll play a critical role in guiding our legal, governance, and compliance activities across Australia and New Zealand. This role can be based in Auckland, New Zealand or Geelong, Australia. Mohawk Flooring Oceania is part of NYSE listed Mohawk Industries, Inc., the world's largest flooring manufacturer. We deliver innovative, sustainable, and stylish flooring solutions across Australia and New Zealand. With deep local roots backed by over 160 years of manufacturing heritage, we combine global expertise with local insight to create high-quality flooring. About the Role
Lead legal strategy and risk management. Oversee corporate governance and statutory compliance. Advise senior leadership and other management on legal matters, including contractual matters, regulatory compliance and disputes. Champion safety, ethics, sustainability and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities

Qualifications
* A minimum 10 years' post-qualification experience.
* Proven experience in a similar role working for a multi-national organisation or at a leading law firm.
* Strong understanding of corporate law and governance matters.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Legal qualifications in either Australia or NZ.
* A willingness to engage with Sustainability would be beneficial.
