About The Role
Reporting to the Field Service / Mining Builds Coordinator, you will oversee the planning, scheduling, execution and quality assurance of all mining equipment assemblies—ensuring build targets, safety expectations and customer requirements are met.
You’ll lead a team of tradespeople while coordinating parts, tooling, subcontractors and service administration to ensure machines are assembled to specification, on time, every time.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and schedule labour, parts, tooling and job packages for all onsite assembliesSupervise technicians, apprentices and subcontractors to ensure high-quality workEnsure all assemblies are completed within target build times and delivery deadlinesMonitor labour recovery, job costing, WIP and build progressComplete all service paperwork accurately to support correct invoicingConduct toolbox talks, safety conversations and hazard reportingDrive continuous improvement using Six Sigma and HCA QA systemsMaintain excellent customer communication and professional service standardsProvide coaching, training and performance guidance to service personnel

Trade qualification: Diesel Fitter / HD Mechanic / Mobile Plant TechnicianStrong technical background in mining or construction machineryExperience supervising or leading a team of trades personnelStrong understanding of labour recovery, WIP management and job costingExcellent communication, organisation and customer service skillsAbility to work autonomously, prioritise and problem‑solveComputer literacy (Microsoft Office + service systems)
