Due to our growth and the development of new models, we have a vacancy for a hands-on, pragmatic Designer.
As the majority of the interior of a motorhome is based around cabinetry, this role will draw heavily on experience with the design of cabinetry.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll produce detailed designs, technical drawings, and production-ready models using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar 3D design software. You'll work closely with senior management, manufacturing and production staff to bring creative motorhome interior concepts to life.
This role will include, but not be limited to:
•Creating 3D models, detailed drawings, and manufacturing specifications for custom motorhome projects;
•Designing solutions for kitchens, wardrobes, bathrooms, living areas and other cabinetry installations;
•Collaborating with senior managers, engineers, and production teams to ensure design feasibility and accuracy.
•Maintaining and updating design libraries and templates.
•Resolving design challenges and contributing to continuous improvement in design processes.
About You
Success in this role will likely rely on:
•Proven experience in cabinetry, joinery, furniture design, or a related field would be highly preferable;
•Proficiency in SolidWorks, Cabinet Vision, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar CAD design software;
•Strong understanding of cabinetry construction methods, materials, and manufacturing processes;
•High attention to detail and a practical, solutions-focused mindset;
•Excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
•Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team;
•Strong analytical and logical thinking;
•Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and problem solve.
In addition, while not mandatory, it would be ideal if candidates had:
-Experience with Material Selection and FEA analysis
-Knowledge of Plumbing - Drainage & Gas Systems
-Knowledge of Electrical Systems 12v, 48v & 240v
