The Role
Join our esteemed educational institution as we seek a highly qualified classroom teacher to fill a 12-month fixed term, part time vacancy in our Humanities learning area, commencing January 2026 at our Wheelers Hill Campus.
The ideal candidate will exhibit a profound passion for Humanities (History specialisation preferred), with expertise in teaching Years 7-12. They will captivate and stimulate students through innovative learning technologies and forward-thinking teaching practices. We seek an individual with high energy and enthusiasm, dedicated to creating dynamic and engaging learning environments. As part of our team, they will work collaboratively to achieve learning area goals, inspiring students and fostering their creativity and problem-solving skills.
Key Duties
- Review and assess students at the beginning of each program to provide a flexible program that caters for individual students
- Deliver learning programs that demonstrate a research-based knowledge of how students learn and integrate Formative Assessment Techniques
- Evaluate personal teaching and learning programs including feedback from students and assessment data to inform planning
- Design and deliver conceptually driven, student-centered learning activities
- Model high expectations to enable a safe and supportive classroom culture
- Provide reports within school standards and timelines
- Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience teaching Years 7-12 and History
- A genuine passion and enthusiasm for teaching Humanities and a positive, can-do attitude
- Is values-driven, able to work collaboratively in a small team, and achieves KPIs set
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Interest in co-curricular aspects is desirable and is able to contribute to developing curriculum
- Holds a Teaching Qualification alongside qualifications in History
- Holds a current VIT Registration
