Job Description
The Business Development Manager is responsible for:
* Identify new business opportunities with enterprise, government, commercial property, industrial, manufacturing, ports, emergency and health care.
* Develop and implement sales strategies to enhance business growth.
* Represent the company in industry events and activities.
* Keep abreast of industry trends and developments.
* Strong communications skills engaging effectively with CIOs, CTOs, and COOs in customer organisations
* Progress opportunities through the sales cycle, following internal processes and working with the team to price, contract and close profitable deals.
* Negotiates effectively, builds trust, and balances directness with diplomacy.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Business Development Manager should have:
* A degree in Business, Engineering or Communications
* At least 10 years solution selling experience with demonstrated wins
* A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
* Strong negotiation, influencing and relationship-building skills.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* A high level of motivation and initiative.
