**The Role**
The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the effective management and upkeep of my client's IT infrastructure and solutions. This includes: monitoring, providing service desk support, performing proactive maintenance, conducting backup monitoring and testing, managing assets, documenting the network and implementing disaster recovery measures. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with the business to provide IT support and guidance for various transformational and improvement projects.
**Core Duties**
- Set up and regularly review monitoring and reporting to ensure system & network health
- Act as first point of contact for all IT issues.
- Work with 3rd party vendors to ensure day to day IT issues are resolved
- Ensure all Global IT policies and practices are adhered to.
- Create and maintain a back-up schedule, monitor and test back up processes to ensure data is being backed up & is both recoverable and useable
- Track all core hardware and software purchases and monitor all hardware warranty and subscription expiration.
- Ensure all hardware assets are maintained and stored appropriately
- Complete regular audits of hardware / software.
- Create a DR plan and ensure that regular disaster recovery testing is completed.
- Ensure all network documentation is maintained and kept up to date, in line with global governance.
- Work closely and partner business stakeholders on various business improvement or transformation projects.
**Education / Experience / Requirements**
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or similar)
- Previous experience working in IT operations (essential)
- Previous experience working with Sage 300, SAP and e-Commerce platforms (Shopify)
- Experience in FMCG or retail is preferred
- Knowledge of programming languages would be advantageous (PowerShell or SQL)
- Proven time management and project management skills
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
