**The Role**

The Digital Services Communications team sits within our Federal government client's Marketing & Communication Branch and delivers communication and marketing activity to support some of the organisations most high-profile programs. With a focus on digital identity, they are at the forefront in helping deliver safe and secure identity solutions to end-users.

The Communications Officer is a marketing & communication all-rounder with demonstrated experience in strategic planning, implementing and evaluating compelling, targeted communications.

You will report to an experienced and supportive manager and be able to access a hybrid working arrangement.
- Have excellent attention to detail with demonstrated experience writing web content, social media plans and posts and newsletter articles.
- Be responsible for contributing to the development of comms strategies, engaging with stakeholders and internal supporting areas like our design studio and PR team.
Manage the development of comms assets to meet deadlines for new and existing digital product releases like the Client's app, the myGovID app and the Relationship Authorisation Manager platform.
- Work with the manager to collate metrics, develop evaluation reports and craft responses to social media.

**To be successful, you will**:

- have a Communications, Public Relations or Journalism background with three to eight years' experience.
- be able to identify potential risks and issues and escalate these within the team.
- Work independently and as part of a team to develop compelling content that can be used in social media, web content and media briefings.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues in the Marketing & Communications branch, as well as the broader Communications Professional Stream to deliver communication activity
- Tailor communication style and language according to the audiences level of knowledge, skill and experience in order to obtain and exchange information
- Provide assistance managing the procurement process for external suppliers as required to deliver communication and branding solutions
- Contribute to brainstorm sessions within the team to identify creative pitches to ensure communications achieve cut-through
- Use evidence based findings and intelligence to support the development of awareness and education communication strategies.
