Are you a highly motivated and customer focussed finance professional? We have an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic Financial Strategy Department as a Finance Systems and Business Partner.
Through customer connection and curiosity, this Business Partner will embed themselves in the work of the diverse departments across our workforce to support a range of accounting functions and financial system support.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Administering and maintaining Council’s financial systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance.
- Leading system upgrades, integrations, and enhancements in collaboration with the Digital and Technology Department and software vendors.
- Developing and maintaining system documentation, user guides, and training materials.
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting for finance system users.
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their financial needs and deliver tailored support.
- Assisting departments with budget development, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
- Designing and deliver financial reports and dashboards using system tools and data analytics platforms.
- Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis and provide actionable insights.
ABOUT YOU
To support your success in the role, you will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a lesser formal qualifications with recent and substantial relevant work experience.
- A strong understanding of financial processes, reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., Oracle, Pathway) and data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel).
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in a complex environment.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- A high level of proactive collaboration and a business partnering approach to enable successful business outcomes.
