Byfields Business Advisers seeks experienced tax and business advisory accountants to join our team serving clients in the beautiful wheatbelt area Narrogin, WA. This role isn't limited to Narrogin—many team members split their time between our Belmont HQ and Narrogin, WA, with WFH to ease commuting. We're open to flexible Drive-In/Drive-Out options from Perth or another location but will also consider full relocation. Let's explore the best fit for you anywhere across WA, including our offices in Belmont, Narrogin, Northam, Merredin, Wagin, and Esperance.
You may be an Intermediate accountant ready to take the next step in your career or a Senior accountant/ Manager potentially seeking a role with a little bit of flexibility to balance work and family life. Either of these options provide you the opportunity to work with great clients in the picturesque WA Wheatbelt region.

In this position, you'll step into a key client-facing role where your expertise will shine. You'll be preparing financial statements and tax returns for a range of clients—from broadacre farmers to mid-tier enterprises—while advising on strategic business outcomes. This is your opportunity to work independently, mentor junior staff, and contribute meaningfully to a regional office in the Wheatbelt, that feels more like a professional family than a workplace.

Your day-to-day
* Prepare financial statements and tax returns (companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals)
* Empower and guide the team, sharing your knowledge to help them grow and succeed
* Assist and engage in special projects, where your innovative thinking and initiative will shine (succession planning, tax planning etc.)
* Liaise with clients and the ATO on compliance and advisory matters
* Manage GST reconciliations and BAS lodgements
* Provide tax compliance and advisory services
About You
You're a detail-focused, team-oriented professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a proactive mindset. You're ready to hit the ground running while also continuing to grow.
* Strong tax, business advisory and compliance knowledge
* High attention to detail and organisational ability
* Great communicator and proactive team player
* 4+ years of public practice experience
* Experience with accounting software
* Accounting degree and working towards or qualified in CA/CPA
* Strong technical skills in financial statement and tax return preparation
* A genuine interest in agribusiness and regional clients is a plus
* National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain one)
