Recently awarded a $200 million contract over an initial 5-year term—with the option to extend another five—we are leading the delivery of a key Capital Works Program across water and sewer infrastructure on the Sunshine Coast.
As a Project Engineer with Dormway, you will form part of a close-knit team delivering a key capital works program across water and sewerage services. This role will ensure project deliverables are met across quality and processes through collaboration with Project Managers and the delivery team. Based at our Sunshine Coast office you will work alongside a highly experienced team that continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with project managers and delivery team in aligning plans and processes
* Implement and monitor our quality plans and processes
* Ensure cost-effective construction methodologies and identify improvement areas.
* Understand project scope and identify contractual risks and opportunities.
* Prepare variations, claims, and subcontract agreements.
* Plan procurement activities, organise labour and equipment for supervisors.
* Ensure materials and services meet QA requirements.
* Develop ITPs/ITCs, monitor quality plans, and ensure compliance.
* Provide support around environmental, specification, design and contractual requirements
* Contribute to engineering and planning of required projects
* Attend site inspections and identify site specific conditions and their impact on delivery and program
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate delivery of projects inline with agreements, policy and regulations
Skills and Experience:
* Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, construction management
* Minimum 3yrs recent relevant experience in a similar role within civil /water /sewer
* Experience working with water and sewer infrastructure projects
* Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to assess, evaluate and solve problems
* Experience implementing and monitoring quality plans and processes
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Effective communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
