**Role Responsibilities**:
- Utilise the computerized Fleet Management System for record-keeping and tracking.
- Perform registration and plant safety inspections.
- Ensure compliance with RMS and Work Cover regulations for fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain workshop operations in alignment with Work Health & Safety and Environmental Management Principles.
- Contribute as a team member, actively supporting corporate values and desired behaviours.
- Always uphold EEO principles and Council policies.
- Enhance customer service through helpful and positive interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improvements in operating procedures and equipment.
- Complete necessary paperwork related to team activities.
**Role Requirements**:
- Current Tradesperson Certificate for Motor Mechanic repair work or demonstrated equivalent qualifications with extensive experience.
- Recent experience in repairing late-model fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks, solve problems, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Valid Class C Driver's Licence.
- Current MR Driver's Licence
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Desirable: RMS vehicle inspection certificate or willingness to obtain within six months.
- Availability and willingness to attend after-hours callouts.
- Familiarity with local government procedures and practices.
