The Company is a leader in its field in designing, manufacturing and distributing a large range of promotional household consumer electrical products to a range of Australian retailers and businesses The business is currently bringing supply chain management in house and as such is recruiting a brand new role for a Supply Chain Manager.
Description
Reporting into the Director of Sales you will lead and manage the supply chain for the business. You will:
- Direct and guide the global supply chain (including managing inventory and external logistics providers based in China and other part of the world)
- Establish quality management and supplier performance metrics for delivery
- Lead and direct all global sourcing of products
- Identity systems and business improvement initiatives, embedding ERP use and developing appropriate KPIS and metrics
This is a hands on role within a large business so you will have to roll your sleeves up and "get your hands dirty", in return this role is a huge opportunity with real scope to shape and define a global supply chain in a rewarding and successful business growing rapidly.
**In this role you will**:
- Work collaboratively with the AU Operations team and china colleagues on manufacturing schedule for our market.
- Coordinate and maintain rolling 12-month supply plan to facilitate inventory management, customer service and operational metrics.
- Identify future production capacity needs and execute replenishment processes.
- Monitor end-to-end stock movement, and proactively identify, resolve, and communicate any time critical issues.
- Support stock and cycle counts as well as annual Stock Take processes.
- Purchase consumables including packaging, promotional items, and materials, both indent and locally manufactured.
- Provide back-up support to the Customer Service team with pick & pack and assist with shipment tracking and customer enquiries.
- Provide accurate information and reporting on stock levels, forecast, inventory turns and monthly promotion performance.
- Provide proactive and hands-on support for stock at Company events.
- Provide regular Stock updates to Sales and Marketing Teams
**What you will bring.**
As a collaborative, innovative and process improvement focused professional, you will have previous supply chain experience and will be seeking to expand your skills. Your experience as a supply chain specialist, working across the full supply chain lifecycle will be necessary for this role. You will be analytical in your approach, are numbers and data driven, and will enjoy playing a hands-on role to ensure optimal supply chain effectiveness for our customers.
This role provides fantastic opportunity, in conjunction with your Operations team colleagues, to facilitate the supply chain process E2E, collaborate with our AU Cross functional teams, and make suggestions for improvement along the way, in a growing and developing environment.
**You will also have**:
- 3-5 years relevant experience in supply chain and product related roles.
- A proven track record in collaborating with and operating in cross functional teams.
- Skills in critical thinking, data analysis and commercial awareness.
- High level computer literacy in Microsoft Suite programs, in particular Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to identify and solve problems and maintain attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills, multi-tasking between responsibilities, systems, procedures, and priorities with the ability to pivot when needed.
- The ability to work in a team environment and autonomously, while fostering a future focused mindset.
- Mandarin would be an added bonus
40 Hours per week.
**Salary**: $150,000.00 per year
