The role
In this role you will effectively engage and work with all sections of the community, community groups and funding bodies to bring about sustainable positive change in health and wellbeing in Latrobe City.
Other objectives of the role include:
* Seek, develop, implement and coordinate a range of projects and initiatives that are responsive to community needs and aspirations in accordance with the Council Plan and the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan.
* Plan, deliver and support programs and initiatives that build community cohesion and inclusion with a focus on multicultural communities
* Participate in and lead relevant networks to ensure greater communication and collaboration between the community and Latrobe City Council.
About You
For this role we are seeking an individual with demonstrated experience in supporting community groups and community members. This individual should also have knowledge and experience in developing and implementing initiatives, policy options and strategic community plans that best position Council to respond to social, health and wellbeing related issues for the community.
You will also have:
* Degree or diploma in social planning, social work, community development or other relevant field with some relevant experience or lesser qualification with substantial relevant experience.
* Experience in managing collaborative projects including officers from across the organisation, consultants, contractors, community, and Council.
* A current Victorian Driver's Licence
Successful applicants are required to obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children's Check.
